In memory of Dewi Arwel Hughes
In his daily life as well as his work on theology and global poverty Dewi was an inspiration to many people and a voice for the poor.
Dewi joined Tearfund in 1987 as the charity's Co-ordinator in Wales and went on to serve as Tearfund Theological Consultant from 1993 until his retirement in 2012.
Donating to Tearfund in his memory will help communities around the world escape the worst effects of poverty and disaster - a mission at the heart of Dewi's life.

I'd like to share this poem. I was immensely fond of Dewi and will never forget his words, smile or joy, and ability to literally power nap in front of our eyes given the shortest meeting break..

Heaven—Haven
A nun takes the veil
I have desired to go
Where springs not fail,
To fields where flies no sharp and sided hail
